Senior Data Scientist

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to help develop and validate the algorithms behind our cuffless blood pressure technology. You'll work at the intersection of machine learning, signal processing, and medical device innovation — translating physiological data into accurate, clinically meaningful insights.

Would you like to make a real difference in how the world monitors health?

The Role.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to help develop and validate the algorithms behind our cuffless blood pressure technology. You'll work at the intersection of machine learning, signal processing, and medical device innovation — translating physiological data into accurate, clinically meaningful insights.

What You'll Do.

- Refine and optimise existing machine learning models for cuffless blood pressure estimation, improving accuracy and robustness across diverse patient populations and use cases
- Contribute to scientific publications and represent Aidee's research in the wider community
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines for processing large-scale physiological signal datasets
- Validate algorithm performance against clinical gold standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with medical advisors, hardware engineers, and product teams to translate research into production-ready solutions
- Drive continuous improvement of model accuracy, reliability, and computational efficiency
- Prepare and maintain software documentation for regulatory compliance and approval (EU MDR and FDA)

What We're Looking For.

- 7+ years of experience in data science with significant machine learning expertise (or 4+ years with a relevant PhD)
- Proficiency with data science and ML libraries in Python
- Solid data engineering skills — building pipelines, handling large datasets, MLOps practices
- Extensive hands-on experience with time-series modeling, feature extraction, and signal processing
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, or a related field

- Familiarity with physiological data and cardiovascular signals
- Understanding of clinical validation methodologies and medical device regulations (ISO 14155, ISO 62304, FDA/MDR, AI Act)
- Experience in bringing a medical device to market

Why Join Us.

We're building technology that will change cardiovascular care for millions of people worldwide. You'll join a small team where your work has direct impact — on the product, on our regulatory milestones, and ultimately on patient lives. You'll collaborate with world-class researchers and clinicians, and have a voice in shaping the company's future.

What we offer.

- Competitive salary and share-option programme

- Flexible working — opportunity to work from home part of the time

- Free gym membership

- Great lunch deal and excellent cafeteria at Rebel

- Good insurance arrangements

- An integral role in a company at the cutting edge of health technology

Our Location.

Oslo, Norway — Rebel, Universitetsgata 2A
